1 Pre-Biennale
The Pre-Biennale was an expansive project to share the process of developing the themes and ideas of the SeMA Biennale Mediacity Seoul 2014. The Pre-Biennale consisted of lectures by leading academics, open discussions, workshops led by artists, postcard projects, and a small exhibition. The preliminary events provided a conceptual frame for conceiving the keywords for the biennale, such as the imagination of ‘Asia,’ catastrophe and capitalism, political passion, and social media among others.
